A classic of childrens literature is brought to the stage in the Royal Shakespeare Companys production of The Mouse and His Child. Based on the 1967 book by Russell Hoban The Mouse and His Child is a magical story for the whole family to enjoy.
Just before Christmas The Mouse and His Child awake to find themselves in a Toy Shop, attached by the hands the father and son combine together to create a beautiful wind up toy that circles and dances. As midnight strikes the toys come to life and a whole new world lies before them. The Mouse and His Child are soon bought and taken from the Toy Shop into the cold world outside, discarded by the child they were bought for The Mouse and His Child must embark on a spectacular journey as they escape the rubbish bin and seek to return home to the comforts of the Toy Shop. Adapted for the stage by Tamsin Oglesby and directed by Paul Hunter. The Mouse and His Child will show at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre from the 17th November 2012 to the 12th January 2013 making it the perfect Christmas treat. The Mouse and His Child is suitable for ages 7+ The Mouse and his Child Theatre Breaks always includes tickets with hotel accommodation, and the number of tickets you request must be the same as the number of hotel guests.
