Rock of Ages, the musical transports you back to 1987 on the Sunset Strip, a small town girl meets a big city rocker in LA’s most famous rock club and they fell in love to the greatest songs of the 80s. The fantastic Rock of Ages is an arena-rock love story told through the mind-blowing, face-melting hits such as Don’t Stop Believin’, Dead or Alive, We Built This City, I Wanna Know What Love Is and The Final Countdown. This explosive musical is written by Chris D’Arienzo, directed by Kristin Hanggi with choreography from the fantastic Kelly Devine. The cast include Justin Lee Collins and X Factors Shayne Ward who will be playing the role of Stacee Jaxx. Rock of Ages, the musical finds its home in the Shaftesbury Theatre which has seen popular musical Hairspray and dance sensation Burn the Floor play to capacity audiences. The US version of Rock of Ages has been nominated for five prestigious Tony Awards including ‘Best Musical’ and in 2012 will hit the big screen in a film starring Tom Cruise, Russell Brand and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
