A Life of Galileo Theatre Break Package

You'll have a great time in Theatreland when you book from our selection of London Theatre Breaks.

As part of the Royal Shakespeare Companys trilogy of newly adapted international plays entitled A World Elsewhere the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon will host Brechts A Life of Galileo from the 31st January to the 30th March 2013.

Renowned as Brechts greatest play A Life of Galileo explores the conflict and persecution Galileo experienced when trying to convince the Catholic Church that the earth orbits the sun and of the existence of the solar system. Threatened with torture Galileo recants his teachings and passes on his book of learnings to a student who smuggles it out of the country for him.

Brimming with personal conflicts, family tensions and philosophical and religions reasonings A Life of Galileo is a gripping drama.

This new translation by the Royal Shakespeare Companys Writer In Residence Mark Ravenhill will be directed by the Royal Shakespeare Companys Associate Director Roxana Silbert, who is currently directing Richard III and A Soldier in Every Son: The Rise of the Aztecs as part of the 2012 World Shakespeare Festival.

A Life of Galileo Theatre Breaks always includes tickets with hotel accommodation, and the number of tickets you request must be the same as the number of hotel guests.

Classic London Theatre Breaks, great value and a great time.
