Alan Bennett’s smash hit comedy The Madness of George III will make its West End Premiere in 2012. Having originally played at the national theatre in 1991, The Madness of George III went on to be an international sensation and was turned into an award winning film. Having delighted audiences at the Theatre Royal Bath in August 2011 The Madness of George III will transfer to the Apollo Theatre for a strictly limited run. Starring David Haig, The Madness of George III tells the story of a catalogue of accomplishments. George founded the Royal Academy of Arts, was a passionate advocate of science, literature and music and also fathered fifteen children. Best known for the terrible medical cruelty he suffered from his bouts of unbridled lunacy George remains a sympathetic character throughout this incredible story. The Madness of George III Theatre Breaks always includes tickets with hotel accommodation, and the number of tickets you request must be the same as the number of hotel guests.
