The Kings Speech Theatre Break

Following a hugely successful UK tour, The Kings Speech is heading to the Wyndhams Theatre from March 2012. The 2011 film starring Colin Firth is brought to life with this incredible stage adaptation.

The King’s Speech is the incredible story of Bertie who is thrust into the spot light when his brother, King Edward III Abdicates for the love of Wallis Simpson. Birtie is crowned King George VI and in a room at 146 Harley Street, Bertie and his wife Elizabeth meet Lionel Logue an Australian speech therapist. A reluctant King and the Logue embark on a remarkable journey together to help correct the King’s debilitating stammer and help him deliver the radio address that will inspire a country on the brink of World War II.

The King Speech, London stars Charles Edwards as George VI, Jonathan Hyde as Lionel Logue and Emma Fielding as Queen Elizabeth.
