Legally Blonde in Manchester is based on the 2001 film and the novel by Amanda Brown. After opening in Broadway in 2007 it moved to London in 2009 and enjoyed great success in the West End. The musical follows the story of Elle Brooks as she peruses her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and the hilarious obstacles she faces along the way.

Elle Brooks is the perfect blonde, homecoming queen, president of her sorority and going out with the cutest guy at college. Before Warner leaves for Harvard Law School Elle wrongly expects a marriage proposal and is disappointed and humiliated to be dumped because she is not serious enough. Determined to prove her eligibility Elle downs her credit cards and throws herself into her books to pass the law school entrance exam and get accepted into Harvard.

Legally Blonde in Manchester is the story of Elle’s discovery that being smart doesn’t mean not having fun and that she can excel in the law profession.
